Project Manager – Living Studio
Meyer is looking for an extremely organized, creative, and experienced Project Manager to lead interior design projects from initial kickoff through final delivery. Drawing from deep experience in sector projects (Senior Living, Multi-Family, Active Adult, and Hospitality), the selected candidate will manage 2-4 person design teams while prioritizing competing deadlines and resources. In addition to well-honed design, FF+E, and finish skills, candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate and present design concepts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managerial
- Exhibit competency and ability to perform all Senior Designer Level Responsibilities.
- Schedule and prioritize team projects, workload management, and reporting.
- Pre and post contract document negotiation, preparation, distribution, and follow-up.
- Direct and monitor team efforts to ensure project contract conformity and profitability.
- Invoice projects, in conjunction with finance accounting team.
- Monitor and address account receivables / collections with finance accounting team.
- Understand and support firm liability considerations.
Design
- Establish and communicate design direction with client and project team.
- Ensure project quality control, accuracy and alignment with contract and objectives.
- Facilitate pro-active, creative solutions to project challenges.
- Manage all design services, phases and tasks related to these services.
- Understand tenant / client representative, broker and project manager processes and players.
- Oversee a variety of design projects, independent of SF and complexity.
- Foster and maintain effective internal and external communications with all team members.
Personnel / Meyer
- Lead overall team efforts and activities.
- Mentor team members in professional growth and development.
- Participate in employee / team member reviews.
- Support Meyer internal standards, business goals and culture initiatives and programs.
Accounts
- Foster / maintain client relations through external business activities and industry events (phone calls, lunch, dinner, conferences, award ceremonies, industry events, etc.).
- Develop / reinforce client relationships throughout project design process and beyond.
- Participate in sales presentations and business development efforts.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 10-12 years’ experience
- Proven experience leading teams, specializing in senior living, multi-family, active adult and/or hospitality projects.
- Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Extensive experience with proposals, contracts, and RFPs; presentations and client meetings; invoicing and billing
- 3D Revit documentation experience required. (360 BIM, InDesign and Enscape a plus)
- Hospitality experience a plus.
- PMP, NCIDQ, LEED and/or WELL Accreditation a plus.
