Independence Blue Cross unveiled the newest endeavor in modernizing their urban campus – Indespace, The Independence Innovation and Amenity Center.
Independence’s CEO, Daniel Hilferty presented the 2 interconnecting floors as a haven where people come to unleash the power of big thoughts. The space is designed to inspire creative thinking and facilitate open communication. The Center serves as a collaborative, distraction-free workspace where IBX employees can brainstorm, freely share ideas no matter their role in their organization, come to the table with a challenge and walk out with a solution, and learn techniques and behaviors they can use every day to foster a culture of innovation. The Innovation Center’s facilitators lead brainstorming sessions that help groups and individuals unlock their creativity and bridge the gap between problems and solutions. Meyer is proud of our long standing partnership with Independence as we re-imagine their urban campus together. Meyer is working with several clients to design innovation centers as companies continue to invest in the power of collaboration and diverse thinking.
Dan Hilferty, CEO, Independence Blue Cross:
“We are going to be a safe haven for unusual thinkers, we are going to be a safe haven for people who want to do things differently, and we are going to be a safe haven for folks who have a different perspective on who they are as human beings. And in that safe harbor, in that place where people can come every single day, I ask you to unleash the power of big thoughts that are hidden deep inside you. We are a great organization because of you.
Let’s re-imagine the way we can work together, the way we can be creative, let’s re-imagine the way we can change healthcare … This is your space.”
